Inspect Signals Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-10-04
Inspect Signals ("the extension") is a Chrome extension published by Ceyhun Aksan (DNOMIA). It shows the Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads requests a website sends, in Chrome's side panel, so the site's tracking setup can be checked. This policy explains what data the extension handles, where it keeps it and what it does not do.
Summary
- The extension has no server. Nothing it reads leaves your browser.
- It reads requests only on sites you grant one by one with the "Grant access" button.
- Captured requests are deleted when you close the tab, press Clear or close the browser.
- No analytics, no advertising, no tracking of you, no remote code.
What data the extension handles
Only on sites you have granted, the extension reads:
- Requests sent to Google Analytics and Google Ads endpoints: their URL, body, status and timing. Depending on how the site is set up, these requests can carry the page URL and title, client and session identifiers, consent state, order ids, order values, product details and hashed email addresses or other user data the site chooses to send.
- Page and frame addresses: the URL and load time of the pages and frames (iframes, Shopify app and custom pixel sandboxes) that sent those requests, so each request can be shown under the page and source it came from.
Chrome itself keeps the list of sites you granted; you can review or remove them in Chrome's extension settings.
The extension also stores your Flow view filter choices: the GA4 property and Google Ads account ids you chose to hide, saved per site.
Where the data is kept and for how long
-
Captured requests are kept in
chrome.storage.sessionfor the tab they came from, at most 1,500 per tab. Chrome holds this storage in memory. It is deleted when the tab closes, when you press Clear and when the browser closes. -
Flow view filter choices are kept in
chrome.storage.localuntil you change them or remove the extension. - Export saves the captured requests of a tab as a JSON file on your computer, only when you press it. What you do with that file is up to you.
What the extension does not do
- It does not send any data to the publisher or to any third party. It contains no server calls, no analytics and no remote code.
- It does not sell, rent or share user data.
- It does not use data for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness or lending.
- It does not block, change or redirect any request; it only observes.
- It does not read page content, form fields, passwords or cookies.
